– Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal

– Ibn Rajab رحمه الله

❝All women should prefer marrying men WHO SEEK KNOWLEDGE.❞
— Al-Albani (raḥimahullāh)
(Silsilatul-Huda wan-Noor 345)

Beneficial knowledge:
Ath-Thahabi said, when explaining beneficial knowledge: ❝O brother, you must reflect on the Qur’an and constantly read Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Sunan an-Nasa'i, Riyad as-Salihin, 40 Hadith Nawawi and 40 Hadith Qudsi. If you do so, you will be successful.❞

Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:
“The intellectual person is the one who recites the Qur’ān and contemplates over it. He becomes aware of the value of the worldly-life and that it is of no value [i.e. worthless] and it is a place of cultivation [to perform good deeds and actions], for the Afterlife. Therefore look to what you have sown therein, for [the betterment of] your Afterlife.”
Sharh Riyādh us-Sāliheen, 3/358| Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen [may Allāh have mercy on him]

Shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله said:
❝We did not appear in this worldly life to live in it like grazing animals and merely eat, drink and sleep. Rather, we came to this dunyā (the worldly life) in order to prepare provisions for the hereafter.❞

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim رَحِمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ said :
Shaykh Ul Islam (Ibn Taymiyyah رَحِمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ) used to race towards the fulfilling of people's needs very earnestly, because he knew that everytime he helped someone else, Allah would help him.
[Raudhatul Muhibbeen, 1/168]

❝Perform many good deeds, and Allaah will make you feel happy and at ease in your grave.❞
– Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawree [رحمه الله]
[The Biography of Sufyaan Ath-Thawree, (Page: 176-181)]

Ibn Bāz (may Allāh have mercy on him) said:
“You were not created to eat and drink...You were not created to build palaces or plant trees or traveling through rivers or marriage or anything like that. No. You were created to worship your Lord. You were created to stand upright in His obedience and to follow His Messenger ﷺ. You were created for this.
And everything in the earth, Allāh created it so you can utilize it in obedience to Allāh and to leave off disobedience. All that was not created so you could utilize it for your desires. “
[Majmū’ al-Fatāwā, volume 7, page 98]

A man said to Sufyān ath-Thawri رحمه الله advise me, Sufyān ath-Thawri said:
❝Work for this world in proportion to the time you shall abide therein [and how little that is] and work for the Afterlife in proportion to the time you shall abide therein [for eternity] and peace [be upon you].❞
Hilya-tul-Awliyā 7/56 | Abu Nu’aym al-Asfahāni رحمه الله

‎● [تفسير القرطبي ١٦\٣٢٠]

❝Every soul will blame itself on the Day of Judgment. The doer of good will regret that he did not increase in good deeds, and the sinner will regret that he did not repent from his sins.❞

What I Am Looking For
Looking for an honest, humble, educated, caring, kind human being with good sense of humour and mannerism.

Advice of Sufyan Al-Thawree (raḥimahullāh) to Alee ibn Al-Hasan As-Sulamee:
❝Your companion should be the one who prevents you from being preoccupied with things of the worldly life that will divert you from Allaah, and one who makes you desire and work for the Hereafter.
Beware of accompanying people who make the dunyah their goal, those who are engrossed in speaking about the worldly life; indeed they will corrupt your religion and your heart.
Remember death much, and seek a lot of forgiveness from what has passed of your sins, and ask Allah for safety for what remains of your life.❞
[Hilyatul Awliyaa Vol. 7 Pg. 82]

The Imaam Rabee bin Haadi Al Madkhalee (may Allah preserve him) said:
❝Search for a believing companion, who aids you upon obedience to Allah, and encourages you with good and warns you from evil and you do not gain from him except good.❞
[Al-Majmoo’ al-Raa’iq p.28]

Good Character...
Some of the scholars described good character as the person having a lot of shyness, little harm, a lot of good, truthful speech, speaking only a little, a lot of action, few sins, little in the way of extravagance, kindness and mantaining the ties, dignity and patience, content and gratitude, forbearance and gentleness, chastity and compassion; he is not one who curses or insults, carries tales or backbites, nor is he hasty or hateful, stingy or envious; he is cheerful and courteous, he loves for the sake of Allāh, he is pleased for the sake of Allāh, and he hates for the sake of Allāh.
[Book: Explanation Of The Concise Advices Of Shaykh-ul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah by Shaykh Sulaymān ar-Ruḥaylī, p. 99]

❝May Allah have mercy over the person who speaks little, reads the Quran, weeps over his lost time, constantly gazes into Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, and worships Allah before he is surprised by death.❞
— Imam adh-Dhahabi (raḥimahullāh)

Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyāh ﺭﺣﻤﻪﺍﻟﻠﻪ said:
❝Shaytaan misleads man due to his lack of knowledge.❞
Kitab al-Sarim al-Maslul alaa' Shatim ar-Rasul (p. 401)

Wakī` رحمه الله (Imām Shafi’ī’s رحمه الله teacher) said:
“Knowledge is a blessing from Allah;
And it is not given to the sinner.”
● {الجواب الكافي ص ٥٤}

Ibn al-Jawzī (raḥimahullāh) said:
“The less knowledge a person possess; the more able devil will be to deceive him.”
{تبليس إبليس صحفة ٥٠٨}

Ibn Aqeel said:
"When the wise man is alone with his wife, he should then leave his intellect in a corner as a respected shaykh and (start) joking and fooling around with her to give her and her soul it’s rights. And when he is alone with his children, then he should come to them in their shape (I.e. act like them, be like them etc)."
● [الآداب الشرعية ٣٨٨/٣]

'Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak said:
“The people in the time of ignorance used to marry for lineage, the Jews married for wealth and the Christians for beauty, but this Ummah marries for religion!”
